My Baby Turned 5

This past Sunday Andrew turned 5. It is amazing to me that I have a 5 year old child. Wow, how time flies when you are having fun!
Saturday we had a Backyardigans party for Andrew at our house.
We started with a Pablo pinata.

Jacob hitting the pinata.

The kids each had a turn, but all they were able to to was hit Pablo's head off, but the candy was inside the body. After everyone had a turn we gave Andrew a metal bat and let him have at it, but he was unable to do much damage.

Doug, being the good dad that he is, stepped up to finish the job. He started to hit and hit the pinata. I kept hearing this clank sound and thought to myself, I wonder what is in the pinata that keeps making that noise. Finally Doug broke the pinata. All the candy came out in a big poof because we had put shock tarts, sweet tarts, nerds and chocolate candy inside. I then realized what was making that clanking noise. Everything but the chocolate was broken into a powder form. Good thing we put chocolate in it so some of the candy was still in tack.

We also played stick the bow tie on Pablo.

BINGO

We had cupcakes.

Everyone got a mask.

Andrew had a great day. This was his first birthday party and loved all the new toys he got.

Andrew is such a good big brother. He has even shared all his new toys with Jacob.
Andrew loves to read, play the computer, and be outside on the tramp or kicking a ball. We LOVE you Andrew!!

Family Home Evening at the Hobbs' home

This is Doug's idea of a perfect FHE, filling out our brackets. Doug would read off the two teams and the boys each picked the team. Of course, Jacobs favorite team was BUTler. They both picked a 14 seated team to win it all. Doug said if a 14 seat team wins, we are headed to the race track!

Timberwolves Game

This past weekend we went to the Timberwolves game as a family. This is one of the many things Doug loves about having all boys...SPORTS!

Andrew and Jacob loved their hot dogs. Nothing like a hot dog at a game. We weren't sure how the boys would do, but they loved every minute of the game. Andrew's favorite part was yelling at the top of his lungs when the other team was shooting their free throws. Jacob was a good little brother and followed right along. Lucky for everyone involved no one sat by us up at the very top of that Target Center. I didn't mind letting them yell and scream as much as they wanted. We were going to move down closer, but my wiggly boys enjoyed not having mom nagging them to sit and not bother anyone, so we stayed at the top.

Danny did really good until Andrew & Jacob would yell. He even took a short nap. It won't be long and he will be yelling and screaming with his brothers.
