This past winter the boys decided they wanted to try basketball. Every Saturday during December, January and February they had practice/games. Andrew play with other 2nd graders from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Jacob played with other Kindergartners and First graders from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.
They also each got to play during half time at a girls high school game.

For the 2nd graders, on the last day they had a parent come and play with them.
Andrew LOVED playing with Doug!!

Jacob loved when they started to play "real basketball" not just practiced all the time.

It was fun as a family to watch and cheer for each other. Danny also enjoyed running around at the gym for 2 hours each week. He made lots of new friends with the younger siblings of those playing basketball.

February Fun

Danny didn't want to eat his dinner. As he sat trying to eat, he found a way to get out of having to eat dinner...it worked.

At Jacob's school they had a family night where we could come and do fun dances as a family. Here are the boys doing the hokey pokey.

Chicken Dance

Jacob with his school buddies!

Nathan loves to crawl around and play with the boys. His favorite thing is when I open the dish washer. He comes as fast as he can to help!

Danny loves to help with Nathan.

Nathan 11 months old.

One last picture of Andrew before he lost his first top front tooth. Andrew was so excited to FINALLY loose his top tooth before second grade was over.

Nathan has a hard time with anyone, but his Mom. We knew we couldn't leave him with a babysitter, so we decided to have a family Valentines Day. I made a roast, mash potatoes, heart jello, and a chocolate cheese cake. We went around the table and everyone had to say what they loved about each other.

When I got up in the morning Doug had left me roses and some chocolates.

We had a wonderful Valentines Day.
Maybe it was a good thing we couldn't get a babysitter and started a new family tradition.

Arr Matey!

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY JACOB!
Jacob wanted a Mario cake. Michelle Hess came through with an AMAZING cake.
Jake LOVED it!

Jacob was excited to have his first friends birthday party. He invited boys from his Kindergarten class. It was fun to have these boys in our home and see who Jacob plays with at school.

We had a pirate party.
First the boys made fruit loop necklaces.

Then they went on a scavenger hunt through the house and outside to find the pinata.

Once they found the pinata, they all had a turn smacking the pirate head.

Jake went first.

Danny wanted to get a turn too.

We thought Andrew would finish it.

But in the end, Doug ended up throwing it up in the air and playing baseball with it.
(I think this was Doug's favorite part of the birthday party)

After all the boys filled their bags with candy, we played pin the parrot on the pirates shoulder and pirate bingo.

Then Jacob opened his presents.

To end a great party we fed the hungry boys pizza and cupcakes.

We LOVE YOU birthday boy!

Bath Time Buddies

Rub-a-dub-dub, Nathan is in the tub.

(Nathan 10 months old)

Danny went to Sunbeams class for the first time and LOVED being in primary. Annie Salisbury is his teacher and there are 3 other boys in his class. They made the crown he is wearing, and he won't take if off. I hope that Danny always remembers that he IS a Child of God!

My 4 cute boys! CRAZY!!!

I like to make green smoothies in the morning for breakfast. The boys LOVE them, but Danny is the lucky one who get one most mornings since he isn't in school.

I love to see these 2 boys become good little friends. Danny LOVES to make Nate smile.
