Summer Soccer

This year was Jacob's second year of soccer. It was really fun to watch him play. He is so intense when he plays. He may be one of the smaller kids, but you would never know it with his determined little face.
In his league they don't keep score, but Jacob always knew what the score was. It was fun to see him get better as the season went on.
Nathan also enjoyed having his Mom and Dad to play with all evening long.

I love this happy little boy!
Andrew got to move up a league this year and loved being with the older kids. Each year he is improving and really liking to play soccer.
Soccer was on Tuesday and Thursday nights through June and most of July. Jacob played from 6:00 to 7:00 and Andrew played from 7:00 to 8:30. I love that they have a practice for half the time and then play for half the time.
Sometimes Danny got a little tired of watching his brothers play and not being apart of the game.
Danny found other things to keep him happy though.
Nathan at around 4 month old. He is such a HAPPY boy!
We love soccer!

Danny loves to play with anything and make them swards. He is all boy!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we decided to try something new this year. We usually go into Chanhassen for their parade, but we heard that Delano has the oldest parade around, so why not try it out!
We got there an hour before it started and the road was already packed. We had to walk quite a ways to find a place to put our chairs.
The boys played football in the road while we waited.
The parade was wonderful, but by the end it was really hot, so the boys were done before it was over.
Danny's favorite part was getting all the candy.
Doug tried to keep Nathan a sleep which was a little difficult with bands and fire trucks going by.

After the parade we went out to lunch at Subway and then went and bought an ice cream maker. We headed back home for naps and then invited our neighbors over, the Kachers, for a bbq. It was a great 4th of July!

Brandon and Melissa's wedding

The week we were in Logan was also filled with excitment for Brandon's wedding. Brandon is Doug's best friend from growing up. Brandon lived across the street. There are very few stories from Doug's childhood that Brandon isn't apart of. We were grateful that we were able to be there for his special day.

I'm not sure what was so funny...maybe it was finally seeing Brandon kiss a girl.

What great friends Doug had growing up.
At the luncheon.

Brandon didn't like any of the food they were serving at the dinner so Weber and Doug went and got Brandon a Steak for lunch.

June Trip to Utah

On Friday, June 10th, we picked Doug up from work around 3:30 pm and headed out to Utah. With Nathan being 4 months and never had a bottle, we weren't sure how this trip was going to go. We were thrilled with how well he did. I tried to give him a bottle, but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. It was okay though because whenever we stopped for gas, I would pull him out and feed him. By the time Doug had filled up the van and took the boys in to the bathroom, I was close if not done feeding Nate.
We made it to Doug's parents house in 21 hours. We thought this was really good time considering the extra feeding stops.

Most of Dougs family came over Saturday night for a bbq while we were there. The boys had so much fun with their cousins.

Everyone also enjoyed seeing baby Nate for the first time.

I think Nathan just enjoyed being out of his car seat!

The boys love that there is always someone to play with at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Emily and Danny had a great time pretending to fish off of Grandma's porch.

The boys always love getting to sleep togther in their sleeping bags.

On Sunday morning we drove down to Salt Lake and dropped Doug off at the airport so he could fly home and work the following week. I continued on down to Cedar City to spend the week with my parents.
The boys had a great time driving the remote control cars and eating lots of popsicles while they were outside.

Crystal came over most days with her cute kids. Kenney was SO funny! He had a truck in each had and an apricot in his mouth. He didn't know what to do because he couldn't put down one of the trucks, but the apricot was starting to fall out of his mouth. He is a cute, BUSY little boy!
Madalyn wanted to hold baby Nate every time she came over. She was a good little helper.
One day we drove down to St. George and went to a Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum. It has over 200 species of wildlife from around the world. They gave the kids binoculars to see the animals as they walked through. The kids all LOVED that part.

Me with my 4 adorable boys!

We also went up to 3 peaks just west of Cedar and roasted hot dogs. Mom made potato salad. We had smores for dessert. It was delicious!

There were swings at the camp site and each of the kids had plenty of time on the swings.

Lance brought up the 4-wheeler and took everyone on rides. The boys thought this was GREAT!
Grandpa helped everyone get the perfect marshmellow for their smore.

Grandpa also took Andrew, Jacob and Danny out to the golf course 2 evening to hit a bucket of balls. The last night we were there Grandpa took Andrew and Jacob to a rodeo. They had a great time watching all the events. The best part was that Grandpa bought them nachos and each a drink.
We had a wonderful week in Cedar, but were ready to pick Dad up at the Airport when Saturday came.

Durning the week in Logan at Grandma and Grandpa's house the boys loved playing with their cousins all week.
One day we got the pool out and let the kids play in the water. One of these years we might have to get a little bigger pool with all the grandkids getting so big.

Another day Grandma asked the neighbor across the street if he would give all the grand kids rids on his horses. At first they were all a little nervious, but soon had a great time.

One evening we went to a park and Jason did dutch oven chicken and potatoes. It was DELICOUS! The kids played baseball and played on the playground. It was a fun evening spent with Doug's brother and sisters.

Leslie was so great at getting Nate to fall asleep!

Jacob could always be found at Austin's side.

The reason we were in Logan was for Doug's best friend, Brandon's wedding. We had a great time spending as much time as we could with the family and also spending lots of time with Doug's high school friends. It was a WONDERFUL vacation!
